1. Hold Strong to Your Beliefs

Thinking about quitting or looking for a new job? Even if it’s the first time, you will get used to being loyal to your beliefs. 

You won’t be able to take any chances, and you will be subjected to constant criticism. Your friends will be most likely to offer useful advice, but it’s important to never lose sight of what you believe. 

You are what you believe, and while others may disagree with you, they can’t change your mind. If you need some feedback, ask. 

Some people will give you helpful advice, and others will tell you that you’re perfect. Accept that people have different opinions about things, and that’s okay. 

Just tell them what you think and then ask for their feedback. This will help you grow, and you will be able to take another step forward.

2. Make Note of Your Thoughts and Feelings

Those were the guys you were supposed to be avoiding. We are not meant to be positive all the time. 

We are meant to be critical, and to hear that someone has “forgotten” about something you want to happen, or that they “can’t do anything about it” to help, is frustrating but true. 

We are meant to be critical, to listen, and to ask for feedback. We are meant to be curious and to be able to learn. We are meant to be independent and believe that nothing can go wrong.

4. Ask for Feedback

If you receive criticism that you think will help you grow or help you change, send it in. 

Even if it isn’t a final say in what you do or what you don’t do, it is a great way to show the person that you think they are doing a great job. 

Whether it is encouraging them to stand strong in the face of criticism or showing them that you are going to stand by them when they need your support, feedback always makes the biggest impact. 

Learning from others and seeing your friends improve is always a good thing. If you receive criticism that you think will prove incorrect or that you need to work on your skills, don’t take it as a sign that you are in trouble. 

It will only show you that you need to work on something and that is all fine and well, but don’t take it as a sign that you are not ready for the job. 

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all job. Everyone is different and everyone needs different amounts of support.
